The character Warren Meers returns in the Buffy season 8 comic The Long Way Home, Part 3. Warren was discovered in the Hellmouth by Amy after the destruction of Sunnydale and Amy kept them both alive using magic.
Warren was killed by Willow in season six when she skinned him alive for killing Tara, a fact that is referenced with Warren’s dialogue when he comes face to face with Willow again:
“I can’t tell you how long I’ve waited for this. Well I can. To the hour. Killing Buffy Summers if gonna be a party. She’s pissed me off more than a little. But you Rosenberg…you really got under my skin.”

It’s explained in the comic that when Willow flayed Warren, Amy was hiding and watching them. Amy had “maybe a four-second window” of opportunity after Warren’s skin came off for her to cast a spell to keep him alive.
So for continuity’s sake, Amy and Warren were living together in secret somewhere in Sunnydale all through season 7.
Obviously though, Amy doesn’t know Willow’s spell for growing back skin.
