Lyssa was interrupted before successfully opening the Seal of Danthalzar in 7.14 First Date. Two episodes later, the seal is closed by Andrew’s tears. It wasn’t until 7.22 Chosen that it was reopened by Buffy, Faith, and the Potentials using the knife inscribed in Tuaric.
However, a handful of Turok-han attack the Potentials after the bomb goes off in 7.21 End Of Days. Where did they come from?

I always assumed that after the first Turok-Han came out of the seal, a few more followed.
But now that I think about it, when The First as Dru is torturing Spike, there is only the one there.

Is it possible the seal was reopened off screen?

I thought after it had been closed with the knife in Storyteller it needed to be opened with that knife. Maybe there was a set! *lol*

I think it wasn’t so much the knife as the words that opened it, and the next time it was opened it was using blood dripping from demonic letters that had been cut into Spike. I’ll find the quote…
“The blood which I spill I consecrate to the oldest evil.”
That’s what was written on the knife (in proto-Tawarick), so I guess if the letters carved on Spike said the same thing it would be the same deal, and the knife wouldn’t be needed.

This certainly explains the need to carve those weird letters into Spike (ewww) while Andrew certainly hadn’t done that to Jonathan (or to the pig).
Maybe the things that attacked the Potentials were lesser Turok-Hans, which could be released in a different manner ? After all, we more or less have to accept that there are two different types of Turok-Hans, the one that take two episodes to kill and those that even Dawn can decapitate
