Isn’t that rather sexist ? Why don’t the girls ever betray the team ? (Unless you count Cordy in season 4, but that was not really her, was it ?) Not that I particularly want them to turn bad, but it seems rather unfair to them that they don’t ever get to play rough (and they are not even there when the ultimate battle comes around).

Harmony……..sort of!
She betrayed Angel to Hamilton although technically she was evil and Angel was expecting her to betray him!

In the last episode of Angel there’s a whole dialogue where Angel tells Harmony to stop talking as she is betraying him right now!!!
And before it even happens Angels tells the team he knows that one of them will betray him….

When Angel is telling the team that one of them will betray him, he is talking about Wesley.
He wants to Wesley to betray him to Cyvus Vail as part of the plan to destroy the Black Thorn.
(Love the fact that when Angel says this, Spike immediately offers to be the one to betray him…..lol)

I always thought that was PART of their plan as they had discussed it on and off screen…therefore the betrayal was a seperate issue to that??

Wes’s betrayal was part of their plan.
From Not Fade Away:
Angel: “This may come out a little pretentious, but one of you will betray me.”
(Spike raises his hands eagerly)
Angel: “Wes.”
Spike: “Oh. Can I deny you 3 times?”
Angel: “Vail is the sorcerer of the bunch. You know that game. You’ve seen his place. He believes you’d make a play for my spot.
Wesley: “That’s not very flattering.”
Angel: “It’ll get you in the door”

Exactly - that’s why I thought Harmony was the betrayor…especially given the speach Angel gives her saying that she is betraying him right now.
