In 2.18 Dead End, Lilah says to Lindsay:
“I guess they like you. They really, really like you.”
This is a reference to Sally Field’s 1985 Academy Award acceptance speech after winning her second Oscar for Places in the Heart. In her speech, Field said, “I haven’t had an orthodox career, and I’ve wanted more than anything to have your respect. The first time I didn’t feel it, but this time I feel it, and I can’t deny the fact that you like me, right now, you like me!” Many comedians have since misquoted this as simply “You like me, you really like me!
