Non-reflective clothes?

We see Angel’s lack of reflection for the first time in 1.07 Angel. I understand why vampires themselves don’t have reflections but what about their clothes? Vampires change clothes all the time so it makes no sense that their clothes aren’t seen in the mirror.

I guess, since the non-reflection thing is sort of a mystical curse, it includes everything that “defines” them: clothes, glasses, jewelery, and thus it works in a mystical way, ignoring the rules of physics.

That’s the advantage of a show that deals with the supernatural, everything can be explained ;)

The lack of reflection is only one of many problematic aspects of the vampire tradition. How can they be seen or photographed and yet not be reflected when each relies on the same reflection of light? Regarding clothing, why does it dust when they do? Why do they pant when they don’t breathe; why do they sweat when they don’t regulate body temperature? Does their hair grow or not (Darla’s seems to, but if Angel is stuck with that hair, it explains a lot of his brooding)? Here again, we have to content ourselves with the “um…because it’s fiction..?” explanation. No reflection at all is creepy and allows for startling appearances. A walking empty suit of clothing a la “Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man” is not remotely creepy.
