In 5.10 Soul Purpose, the line “like to get a bottle of hootch and listen to some Sex Pistols records with him”, while a reference to 60s British punk band The Sex Pistols, is also a nice bit of continuity. Spike is a fan, which was established when they were mentioned in Buffy’s 4.07 The Initiative. Harmony says in that episode:
“Yeah, right. Like I listen to The Sex Pistols. Eww. This crap belongs to Spike.”
