In the episode 3.01 Anne, the scene where Giles is leaving to catch the plane to Oakland was originally longer than what was aired:
Giles: “Well, one must try. In the meantime, you might want to take a slight vacation from your slaying”
Willow: “Hey, we’re doing okay. Except that last guy totally threw off our stats…”
Giles: “I just don’t want you getting into trouble while I’m away. I should go.”
