British newspaper The Guardian published an article citing the best and worst accents in film and on TV. James Marsters ranked at third in their list of favourite accents, no easy task considering he was up against other actors such as Cate Blanchett and Jude Law. The complete list was:
- Tim Roth in Reservoir Dogs
- Alessandro Nivola in Mansfield Park
- James Marsters in Buffy the Vampire Slayer
- Jude Law in Cold Mountain
- Angelina Jolie in Lara Croft
- Gary Oldman in Romeo is Bleeding
- Kate Hudson in The Four Feathers
- Winona Ryder in Dracula
- Cate Blanchett in The Life Aquatic
Yes - there are only nine contenders there - The Guardian seemed to get a little confused with their numbering system!

If I read the article correctly, #1 is Ewan McGregor, and the numbered list should start at #2, so James is at #4.

and well deserved. James can pull of the English accent so well. Makes me go weak in the knees!
