Angel’s racquet ball partner Izzy was a red-skinned, suited, devil-like demon. Izzy was the key to getting Angel into the Circle of the Black Thorn. As host and member of the Circle he introduced Angel to it’s influential - and secret - members. Izzy dined with three other members of the Black Thorn every night. He instigated the idea of Angel burning the Shanshu Prophecy to prove his dedication to the Circle. He was killed by Illyria in 5.22 Not Fade Away.
