Tucker Wells attempted to ruin 3.20 The Prom by setting hellhounds loose on the school. He trained them to hate formal wear and party music by forcing them to watch movies including Prom Night, Prom Night IV, Pump Up the Volume, Pretty in Pink, The Club, and Carrie. Giles says of hellhounds:
“It’s sort of a demon foot soldier bred during the Machash Wars. Trained solely to kill. They feed off the brains of their foes.”
The most famous hellhound is probably Cerberus, a three-headed dog in Greek mythology, who stood guard over the entrance of the Underworld.

Is this the same as the “dog” that attacked Cordy in Pylea?

I suppose technically it could be in that Cordy’s attacker is from a hell-dimension (depending on who you are of course) and it can be classed as a “hound”. But I don’t think they’re the same species.
