In 3.21 Graduation Day (Part One), Buffy says to Wesley, “Get a job!” This might be a reference to the film Heathers in which Veronica Sawyer (played by Winona Ryder) says the same thing to her guidance counselor. Sarah Michelle Gellar has said this is one of her favourite movies.
