William/Spike reads his poem to his mother in 7.17 Lies My Parents Told Me. It goes:
“Yet his smell, it doth linger,
Painting pictures in my mind.
Her eyes; bowls of honey,
Angel’s hearts shall laugh.
Oh lark, grant a sign,
If crooked be cupid’s shaft.
Hark! The lark!
Her name it hath spake.
Cecily, it discharges,
From twixt its wee beak.”

As bad a poet as Spike undoubtedly is, he can’t come close to the legendary William Topaz McGonagall. See here for further details…but keep a stiff drink handy…you’ll need it.
Another magnificent stinker is “The Dream of Eugene Aram” by Thomas Hood (A poem frequently referenced by Bertie Wooster in the “Jeeves and Wooster” novels”). Again tread carefully…it’s incredibly, incredibly, bad!

(Correct me if I’m wrong.)
It means: from between it’s small beak. Which from mean: from its mouth. Which would mean: “it says”.
Punctuation is fun. : ” . () ‘

William wanted to make it sound purty for Cecily. See also: effulgent.
Okay, I have to quote.
“Oh, quickly! I’m the very spirit of vexation. What’s another word for ‘gleaming’? It’s a perfectly perfect word as many words go but the bother is nothing rhymes, you see.”
