In 4.15 This Year’s Girl, Buffy asks Faith if she’s “going for the boyfriend again?” Faith tried to get at Buffy through Angel in 3.17 Enemies, by trying to seduce him then attempting to remove his soul by magic. Faith eventually sleeps with Riley in 4.16 Who Are You? when she takes over Buffy’s body.

By the time season 7 rolls around, Buffy’s still not over it. When she walks in on Faith and Spike’s little basement bonding session, she looks like she’s about to cry.

Always thought that the expression on her face when she walked into the basement said more about how she felt about Spike than was ever said in words. Is a great moment and what is even better is that Spike sees her reaction!

And the last time Buffy walked in on Faith, in LA, (in Sanctuary) she found her hugging Angel… so she has some reasons to be anxious –especially if she know about Faith’s declaration to Spike in Who are You… which Spike must have mentioned at one point.
That parallel also tells a lot about Spike and Buffy, but aren’t we preaching to the choir here ?
