Riley and Buffy kiss for the first time in 4.10 Hush, once in her dream, and once in real life. In his DVD commentary, Joss Whedon states that he expected to have Riley and Buffy make love for the first time in the episode, but it seemed too soon in the development of their relationship.

yeah woah, jumping the gun much? that would be way too soon, although i think all through season 4 the whole buffy and riley seamed centered around sex, sex, and some more sex!

yep, although i liked that episode due to many other aspects, i do believe that it was one of the worst episodes in all 7 seasons!

SMG/Buffy wasn’t in ‘Eternity’ but I can’t think of an episode midseason that she was in … maybe ‘I Will Remember You’ but that was at the beginning. Hmmm …. maybe she was just randomly gone or ill or something.
