Dennis was murdered by his mother, Maude, and his spirit trapped into an apartment Cordelia later moved into. Cordy vanquished the ghost of Maude and released Dennis in 1.05 Rm W/A Vu, who became her ghostly roommate. Dennis is very protective of Cordelia, becoming jealous of her dates, keeping her safe from intruders and soothing her wounds.

I always felt bad for Dennis when they moved Cordy’s stuff out and then after…He just had to get used to someone else I guess. Someone with an very less interesting life, I bet.

Dennis’ death always made me SO sad, though I don’t really know why. I loved that he was still Cordelia’s room-mate though, despite being dead, and his protectiveness over her was the cutest thing.

Yes, but why did no one ever follow his advice ? The poor ghost repeatedly tried to give warnings when something bad was about to happen, but Cordy never listened.
Oh, and am I the only one who thinks a ghost should leave the room before a lady undresses ? Would Cordelia have undressed before ghost-Spike –and let him rub her back in her bath ??
