In 3.17 Enemies, Angel says Buffy “looks so cute when she’s sleeping”, which is possibly a reference to 2.17 Passion, when he sketched her whilst she slept.

It seems Buffy is cute in many situations. In the third episode of Angel first season, “In The Dark”:
Spike: “She’s cute when she’s hurting.”
Angel: “She’s cuter when she’s kicking your ass.”

But Angel does enjoy watching Buffy sleep, as we see in The Prom. It’s one of their cutest moments together !
