The four core Scoobies (Buffy, Giles, Xander and Willow) meet on campus at four compass points in 4.21 Primeval. We see this recreated in the final episode 7.22 Chosen, as the gang meet before they fight the First’s army.

In additon to this, they have a similar conversation to the one they have at the end of the series opener “Welcome to the Hellmouth”. Buffy starts this conversation with “So what do you guys want to do tomorrow.” And at the end of this Giles says “The World is Definitely Doomed” which is what he says at the end of “Welcome to the Hellmouth.” This is like the final wrapup of the series.

actually he says the world is doomed. they added in the definately in this episode as a call back to the very first one.

it was a good callback..very obvious but very nice. it would have been cool too if like special efects did some visual thing to mkae them look like they did briefly or make the office look like willow was sitting in the libary..i would’ve went all out to mkae people really feel like they were watching the same kids that were in welcome to the hellmouth…and cordy shoulda like astroprojected there and joined in..and that snake thing shoulda come up…haha..im getting ahead of myself…
and just thought, joyce, jenny, tara and anywa were like swallowed by the hellmouth..their bodies are in hell..no graves…eerie
