Angel should really learn not to trust women when they tell him to close his eyes. When he first met Darla (in the episode 1.07 Angel), she told him to close his eyes and she then sired him as a vampire. In 2.21 Becoming (Part One), Buffy told him the same thing and then stabbed him, sending him to hell.

Sorry to be nitpicky…again…but wasn’t this in Becoming Part I when Darla tells him to close his eyes and then vamps him??

I meant we see Darla say “Close your eyes” and sire him in Becoming Part I. We see Buffy say “Close your eyes” and kill him in Becoming Part II.

And I think it is a bit disturbing that this is the name of the Buffy/Angel theme. Granted, this is probably the most breathtaking moment of their relationship, but still…
On second thought, there’s also a scene where Darla asks him to close his eyes, when she “offers” him the gypsy girl to celebrate some anniversary.
