Amber Benson (who played Tara) wrote and directed a movie called Chance in 2001 when she was just 24. It featured Amber, James Marsters (Spike), David Fury (Buffy writer/producer), Tressa DiFiglia (Nick Brendon’s wife), Jeff Ricketts (Weatherby in Buffy and Angel and Blue Glove in Firefly) and Andy Hallett (Lorne in Angel). The movie also featured Marti Noxon’s assistant J.D. Peralta, who later died aged only 30.
Emma Caulfield was originally cast to play the role of Heidi and had a scene where James Marsters‘ character Simon spilt a drink of her in a restaurant. The scene was accidentally taped over during a rush in filming and since Emma was unable to come back for a re-shoot, her character was replaced by Laura Boyd Rhodes and the restaurant scene was not re-shot.

The film is about a girl called Chance played by Amber Benson who is trying to find a decent relationship while sorting out her own personal problems.
I recently got the film and it is actually quite good.
Amber and James are really great in it and so it Andy Hallett, even though you dont see him for long.
Worth watching just to see James Marsters in a dress.

I have it on dvd. I also think it’s a great movie, but it’s a huge shame that they taped over Emma’s bit. I’m glad the ending turned out the way it did (I don’t wanna ruin it for people who haven’t seen it).
