Angel discovers that Buffy is alive during an off-screen phone call from Willow in the Angel episode 3.04 Carpe Noctem. Angel calls the Slayer in the Buffy episode 6.04 Flooded, and she goes off to meet him - not in Sunnydale, not in L.A., but somewhere in the middle. This is a nod towards the fact that there are no more Buffy/Angel crossovers now that Buffy has moved from the WB to UPN. Buffy returns to Sunnydale in 6.05 Life Serial but doesn’t want to talk about her meeting with Angel (she just says it was “intense”), another nod to the lack of crossovers. Likewise, in 3.05 Fredless, Angel says he really doesn’t want to talk about meeting Buffy.

I could be wrong, but I swear that both Buffy and Angel recieve a call from the other. Was this a contradiction?
Blondie-Bear on August 14th, 2005 at 9:42 am
I thought that Willow rang Angel to let him know

So then why did Buffy come in to the room all flustered and say that was Angel on the phone and that she had to go? Did Willow call Angel and say, “Oh, by the way, I raised Buffy from the dead” and then turn and hand the phone to Buffy?

Willow told Angel at the end of the first episode of season 3 in Angel. Angel then called Buffy.

Willow told Angel that Buffy was dead in last episode of Angel season 2 - There’s No Place Like Plrtz Glrb.
The gang have just got back from Pylea and enter the hotel to find Willow sitting there.
Angel: “There’s no place like…Willow?”
Cordy: “What’s..?”
Angel: “It’s Buffy.”
At the end of episode 4 - Carpe Noctem - in season 3 of Angel, Willow calls Angel and tells him that Buffy is alive and the sometime between this episode and the next Angel calls Buffy and they meet up.

Yeah but Buffy gets a phone call from Angel at the end of Flooded? Cause she came back at the beginning of Life Serial with “fried chicken parts” and Willow had her whole line about being a breast girl.

I would like more crossovers. I think if Dawn and Connor had met, they would have got together, and that’s a series in itself.

Any one else thinks this is funny (how UPN and WB souldn’t have any cross overs) and now the two networks are merging?
TwoToGo-Grave on June 12th, 2006 at 3:23 pm
Not to pick on you Esual, but I must disagree on both counts here. I didn’t think that crossovers were good for either show (especially Angel, as it needed to get out of the shadow of BTVS as it did after the second season really), and I was glad to see them go away.
As for Connor and Dawn, that appears to have some popularity, but it seems that it is really because they are they only two characters in the ‘verse of that age range. They just are so different, and I can’t imagine that being anything other than sort of icky.

I know there was a cesation of crossovers but there were more later on. Such as when Angel showed up for the Buffy Finaly,Sorry guys can’t spell that word, and Andrew on Angel.

I’m still curious about what happened. Maybe it will get explained in season eight comics, but probably not.

I agree have a spin off Dawn love Connor like Joanie loves Chachi. I would love to see them together they are close to the same age, their mothers died, they sortof have a non existent relationship with their fathers, they were both goddess made tools(Dawn=Glory Connor= Jasmine) etc. they are a match made in Joss Verse. Also I think Connor would make Dawn more independent and powerful and Dawn would give Connor love he never got from Cordy(eww connor and cordy).

I also have made Connor/ Dawn fan-fics.

I read somewhere that Dawn is going to have a really bad “first time”… maybe it is going to be with Conner… Son like father… not good with the emotions, you know the scenario. But I think that story has played itself out be now… I would have loved to have seen Conner and Dawn hookup though…

I always thought it was a bit of a cheek for Willow to call Angel to tell him Buffy was back. Shouldn’t it have been Buffy’s choice as to when… or even whether… to tell him? Willow just had to be in control… and no doubt have a little boast ‘look what I did’…
hypersk on March 29th, 2007 at 10:43 pm
I really liked a lot the crossovers.
I was really disappointed when Sarah Michelle Gellar didn’t appear as Buffy on Angel season 5.
Well, at least we got Spike!

Dawn and Connor would be cool…I’d support it.. also I remember what happened with the Buffy/Angel phonecall things…
first, Willow turned up at the hotel and told Cordy and Angel that Buffy was dead…then the following season after Buffy came back and everything settled down a bit…Willow phoned the hotel and spoke to Cordelia, not angel. Cordelia came out when Angel was talking to Fred and told Angel that Buffy was alive. Angel then ran back inside and that was that…then Angel rang Buffy and they met up… there you have it!!
