The BBC series The Canterbury Tales is a series of 6 modern versions of Chaucer’s stories. One of the episodes is ‘The Knight’s Tale’. Paul (played by Chiwetel Ejiofor - who played “The Operative” in Serenity) is a man in prison, and Ace is his cellmate. On one of the first nights, Paul asks if Ace minds if he jerks off, and then this dialogue follows:
Ace: “You gotta use your imagination. Beyonce Knowles, that sorta thing.”
Paul: “Angelina Jolie…”
Ace: “Yeah, yeah … the lips on her!”
Paul: “Or Buffy the vampire Slayer.”
Ace: “No man, that’s too clean! …Buffy…” [sniggers]
