   I know this is picky, but shouldn’t vampires not be able to bruise because they have no blood circulation?

   There are a couple of things about Spike that would require circulation, but let’s not get into those. Given the plethora of biological and physical contradictions about vampires (they don’t breathe, but they pant when tired; they can’t be seen in a mirror but they can be seen and photographed) I think the whole question is intended to be lumped into the rather big “willing suspension fo disbelief” bag that Joss seems to expect from fans.

   On the subject of circulation of blood in vampires, when Spike is captured by the First, his blood is used to open the hellmouth. So if they have no blood circulation how is his possible?

   Am I just crazy, or is Spike kinda cute with the bruising? Of course, he’s always cute.

   Err, personnally I prefer him without all the “sexy bruises”, if you don’t mind. But even with them, he IS cute.

   Now, back to business… I don’t mind about all the little things that vampires should not be able to do, as long as the plot doesn’t rely to heavily on them. But after capturing Spike, the First has him tortured by drowning. The scene goes on and on and on, and I still cannot believe that no one realised this was a gross plot hole. I mean, at that stage, Angel has just spent three months keeping company with fish ! Granted that’s on another show but still ! (Or we can decide that Spike is faking to gain some time, but…)
