Benefits of a Sunnydale education

In the Angel season two episode 2.04 Untouched, Bethany, the telekenetic girl, stabs Angel through the torso with a bar. When he gets back to the hotel the following lines are said.

Angel: “You know how hard it is to think straight with a re-bar through your torso?”
Cordelia: “Actually, I do. Benefits of a Sunnydale education.”

This is a reference to the Buffy episode 3.08 Lover’s Walk, when Cordelia fell and was impaled on a metal bar after finding Xander and Willow kissing.

“Lovers Walk,” definitely a top Buffy episode. We learn so much: Oz has a disturbingly keen sense of smell (and is not meant for Willow); Spike is deeply passionate-best james marsters’ performance ever with, “chaos demon. . . all slime and antlers. . . ” to Buffy and Angel, “you’ll never be friends. . . Real love isn’t brains, children, it’s blood, it’s blood screaming inside you to work its will. I may be love’s bitch, but at least I’m man enough to admit it.”; Xander and Willow were never meant for one another; Cordelia is ‘more than just a pretty face’; love spells are a bad idea.

Props to Dan Vebber for an incredibly well written episode.

Agreed. Also, props to Dan Vebber for “The Zeppo: (one of my personal favorite episodes of the…ever). I wish I knew why he didn’t come back for season four, because he did a fine job of writing these episodes.

How did Oz and Cordy just walk in; Willow couldn’t get out earlier. Seems alittle too much of a set up to me.

The lock was probably located on the opposite side of the door.
