Jeff Pruitt (Buffy’s stunt coordinator) and his wife Sophia Crawford (Buffy’s stunt double) left the show at the end of season four. His last huge fight sequence was in 4.21 Primeval. This was apparently due to ‘creative differences’ with the production team. Jeff later went online to Buffy forums to air his views on the show and it’s star.

Apparently his leaving was also due to one of the stars of the show ordering it. But I don’t know who and I can’t even say if that’s true, it’s just something I read. Interesting if it was though.

I tried looking for info about this, but could only find a few things that other Buffy fans had posted.
Seemingly, and I don’t know if this is true, he told someone that the way a stunt was set up as wrong, but no-one changed it and his wife got hurt. But if he was the stunt co-ordinator, wouldn’t it have been his job to set the stunt up in the first place?
I also read somewhere that SMG was supposedly responsible for Charisma Carpenter being taken off Buffy and put on Angel, as SMG didn’t like all the press attention that CC was getting. But, again, don’t know how much truth is in that.

Sorry, I messed up on the quotes. My comment is the last paragraph above.

On the commentary for Reptile Boy, David Greenwalt explains that he wanted the bright and cheery Cordelia as a foil to balance Angel’s gloomy nature.

It — I meant “I knew it was in one of the many commentaries I listened to.” I blame my horrible computer skills today on finals. They’re frying my brain cells.
