The demon pretending to be Xander in 6.16 Hell’s Bells says that he was a victim of one of Anyanka’s spells many years ago. In 3.09 The Wish, when Giles destroyed Anyanka’s power centre necklace, he said it would return her to human form and reverse all the spells she has granted - so the spell on the faux-Xander should have been reversed too.

Then this also would include Olaf The troll, shouldn’t he be back to normal??
The_True_Xander on April 20th, 2006 at 2:06 am
No because she cast the troll-making spell when she was human, because Olaf had cheated on her. That spell got her the gig as a vengeance demon. At least, I think that’s how it goes…

I assumed that Giles had got it wrong, or that the book he had found the reference in was wrong. His research has turned out to be wrong before, notably about Spike’s age, which he said was ‘barely 200′ rather than 124, as it would have been in S2 (Spike says he is ‘only 126′ in ‘The Initiative’ in S4), and about Drusilla dying in Prague.

I always thought that the demon guy hadn’t been affected by the Anyanka undoing because he was in some other dimension, and the amulets breaking only spanned the dimension that it was in at the time. Or something.

Surely to undo all of Anyanka’s vengeance spells would have affected world history so much *everything* would have been different, not just this one aspect of reality concerning the slayer and Sunnydale.
It was shown in the episode ‘Selfless’ that she and Halfrek had a major part in causing the Russian Revolution, and there must have been other curses in the 1000 years of her actions that changed history in a similar manner.
Not sure how the destruction of the amulet could just reverse one curse and not the others though… perhaps it was just the last spell she had cast that would be reversed?

Heres a thought - what if Giles was slightly wrong? As All4Spike says - it could have just been the last wish that she granted that would be reversed.

I assumed it was just the last wish she granted that was broken & not all that she ever done, I’d imagine that would take an awful lot of power to revert all the wishes she ever granted

But Anyanka’s amulet was only destroyed in the “vampire” dimension. Maybe in that dimension all her other spells were reversed at the same time
In the “real” Buffyverse, however, her spell wasn’t actually reversed or Cordelia would have remembered it. It simply didn’t happen at all, because when alternate-Giles destroyed Anyanka’s amulet, she became human (and that affected her in every dimension where she was). Deprived of her powers, she couldn’t grant Cordelia’s wish, but none of her spells was actually reversed.
(I hope that I am making my point clear here)
