In 3.05 Homecoming, Buffy uses a spatula to stake the vampire called Candy. The spatula can be seen sticking out of Candy - but nowhere near her heart so she shouldn’t have been dusted. There is also a possible error as the spatula looks to be made of plastic, not wood, though this cannot be proved.
